Discuss ideas, not people

Welcome Back!

The most uncivilised activity of this highly civilised world is gossiping. Even the richest and educated people indulge in this uncivilised activity. It is both ruthless and worthless entertainment. In gossip, the tongue and intelligence let loose.

We shamelessly distort the image of people through the means of gossip, without the slightest care about how much it might affect their lives.

Never, ever trust a gossiper. After you leave, the one who was gossiping with you will gossip about you with others. The chain goes on and on and on. This is the universal truth.

Curiosity and inquisitiveness are lifelines of human evolution. Gossip is judgement passed without knowledge. We make a blunder by feeding this thirst and hunger for knowledge with gossip. Judge not, and you shall not be judged. The contrary is also true. Judge, and you too will be judged. Every gossiper eventually drinks his own poison. Everything comes back.

So what to do?

The next time the surrounding gang starts gossiping, just walk away from them. Refuse to speak or hear about a person who is not present. Try to feed the thirst and hunger for knowledge by reading books, learning new things or developing skills. Do what you like. This will save yourself from self-harm and help you in staying out of trouble. Also, it will be immensely productive.

Great minds discuss ideas, Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.

Thought of the day:

“Gossip is just a tool to distract people who have nothing better to do from feeling jealous of those few of us remaining with noble hearts.”

'Today' is his 🎁 unto you

Welcome back 😀 ! Have you ever wondered why people like handmade gifts above all other gifts? The answer to this question is simple - You/They recognise the heart behind the gift and that makes the gift priceless . "A gift is not a material, but an outlook - to look out at the heart behind the material." -Mahatria Rā Even if the present is just a handmade flower or a greeting card, it would be one of the best gifts you would have ever got. Similarly , Education becomes a gift when you recognise the heart of the teachers who transfer their knowledge unto you . Your childhood becomes a gift when you recognise the heart of your parents in the upbringing. Friends become a gift when they stand by you not only in your good times but also in your tough times. Life becomes a gift when you realise its preciousness and its importance. In that sense, "Today" becomes an eternal gift . Always keep in mind that you may not live to see the "Tomorrow"...

Ego never accepts the truth

Welcome Back! Everyone goes through this phase of life where the ego drives one to do anything and everything only to get noticed and recognised . It is a phase when good is good only when it gains attention; even bad is good if it can draw attention . Also, good is bad when it fails to gain attention. Ego survives on gaining attention. However, one must outgrow that phase of life. Ego needs feeding ; and hence it is regarded as a beggar . The problem with ego is that when ego is fed , you struggle with the superiority complex , and when ego is starved, you suffer with the inferiority complex . It destroys your peace of mind. People have lost many precious relationships while trying to satisfy their ego. They should have sacrificed their ego, but they didn’t. Remember, Ego is never worth the losses. People have also lost many golden opportunities while they were servicing their ego. They should have done the other way, but they could not. Ego destroys your freedom of choice. There i...
